Custom dry sauna — the top choice for homes

A Finnish dry sauna runs at 70–90°C with low humidity of 10–20%. The heat is "light": your skin sweats quickly but breathing stays easy. The cabin is built to fit your room exactly — a former storage nook, a corner of the master bathroom, or a dedicated wellness room; the most popular size is 2×2 m for four people.

The wall structure is five layers: outer panel, 50 mm rockwool, aluminium foil as a vapor barrier, a 20 mm ventilation gap, then cedar boards. In Tangerang's humidity, which averages 80%, that foil layer and air gap are exactly what separate a sauna that lasts from one that grows mould within 2–3 years. The interior uses imported wood — western red cedar, Scandinavian spruce, or thermowood — and benches of aspen/abachi that never burn the skin. Local hardwoods like ulin and bengkirai we use only for outdoor decks, never the interior.

Outdoor sauna — the garden cabin

For homes with a garden in Citra Raya, Pagedangan, or a corner lot in BSD, an outdoor cabin is the way to add a sauna without gutting the interior. It takes the form of a square cabin with a protective roof — essential in Tangerang, where heavy rain and tropical UV destroy unsheltered wood. Thermowood for the outer cladding, an option of one glass wall facing the garden, and a light foundation with no heavy concrete. Installation takes 1–2 weeks.

Infrared sauna — when electrical capacity is limited

This is the answer we give most often in older homes in Karawaci, Cipondoh, and Ciputat still on a 2,200–3,500 VA connection: a conventional 6–9 kW sauna stove demands 7,700–11,000 VA, whereas an infrared carbon panel draws only 1.7–2.4 kW — no PLN capacity upgrade needed. Working temperature is 45–60°C; the heat warms your body directly, not the air. A 1–2 person cabin is installed in 1–2 days.

Steam room — 100% steam

A steam room works at 40–45°C with humidity near 100%. Behind it lies serious wet work: full waterproofing, a floor sloped to a drain, a sloped ceiling so condensation doesn't drip onto your head, mosaic tiling, and a 6–9 kW steam generator. That is why it takes 3–5 weeks — the longest of all the types. It's popular for master bathrooms in Alam Sutera and for spa facilities. Stove and electricals — the part you must not cut corners on

We install only imported stoves with an official warranty and spare parts: Harvia (Finland), Sawo, Tylo. The 1–2 year factory warranty runs on top of our 2-year construction warranty. Installation uses heat-resistant SiHF cable, a dedicated breaker, and an ELCB — not a tap into an existing socket line. Dry, outdoor, infrared, or steam — which is for you?

Four questions are usually enough to steer the choice:

• Is the space indoors or in the garden? Inside the house → custom dry sauna or infrared. A garden or rooftop → an outdoor cabin.
• How much electrical capacity do you have? Under 5,500 VA with no plan to upgrade → an infrared at 1.7–2.4 kW runs with no trouble; 7,700 VA and up → every option is open.
• What sensation are you after? Dry, wood-scented heat with a splash over the stones → a dry sauna. An enveloping steam that eases breathing → a steam room.
• Budget? From Rp 30 million (a small infrared) to Rp 150 million (a large outdoor). The sweet spot: a 2×2 m dry sauna at Rp 60–120 million.

Sauna care: light, but there's a routine

A sauna built right doesn't ask for much, but that doesn't mean zero maintenance. What we teach at handover:

• Every session — leave the door open after use so the cabin dries; wipe the benches with a towel.
• Monthly — check the bench boards are tight, clear debris off the stove stones, make sure the ventilation isn't blocked.
• Yearly — light sanding and oiling of the benches if needed, service the stove, check the cabling and breaker.

The total cost is small: Rp 200,000–500,000 per month for a dry sauna used 2–3 sessions a week, electricity included. Infrared is cheaper still, Rp 100,000–250,000. A cabin with proper insulation (50 mm rockwool + vapor barrier) heats faster and holds the heat longer — that's what keeps the bill down, not simply fitting a smaller stove.

Commercial saunas for gyms, spas, and hotels

A home sauna runs a few hours a week; a commercial sauna runs a dozen hours a day. The difference isn't just size — a commercial-grade stove, ventilation for dozens of people, materials that withstand public use, and a control panel that can be locked away from guests. For business facilities in Serpong, BSD, or near the airport, we handle it as part of the spa center equipment package — from Rp 150 million, 4–8 weeks of work.
