A five-layer wall — why our saunas don't grow mould
Tangerang humidity averages 80%. A sauna built like a wooden wardrobe traps moisture in its walls — and grows mould within 2–3 years. We build a sandwich:
- Structural panel
- 50 mm rockwool
- Aluminium foil — vapour barrier
- 20 mm ventilation gap
- Cedar / thermowood boards
Imported interior wood: western red cedar, spruce, thermowood; aspen/abachi benches that stay cool on the skin. Dense local hardwoods — for outdoor decking only.

Our first question: what's your home's VA rating?
A 6–9 kW heater needs 7,700–11,000 VA — while older homes in Karawaci or Ciputat often still run 2,200 VA. We check your panel from a photo, help arrange a PLN upgrade, or offer an infrared unit at 1.7–2.4 kW when an upgrade isn't possible.

What's the difference between a sauna and a steam room?

Can I build a sauna myself?
